Walking up from Il Campo in Siena, we arrived at the magnificent Cathedral. We learned that the marble pavement work lasted 6 centuries!

Mont Saint-Michel is an architectural masterpiece. The spectacular abbey that is dominated by a Romanesque church built in the 11th century is located on a tidal island about one half of a mile (1 kilometer) off the coast and is connected to the mainland by a natural land bridge which will be replaced by an elevated bridge in the near future.

Bled Island is a beautiful island in the middle of the glacial Lake Bled. It is best known for housing the Church of the Assumption of Mary which has been attracting pilgrims for centuries. The church is famous for the so-called Wish bell which will make your wish come true if you rang it in honor of Virgin Mary.
